SPITE: FLESH & FLAMES

An Action RPG inspired by Diablo 3

Pitch:

“Inquisitor, a dark substance is consuming the swamp.
Find the source of the corruption, slay its spawn and burn it to the ground!”

Project Overview

The team:

  • 2 Level Designers

  • 4 Game Artists

  • 3 Animators

  • 3 Technical Artists

  • 6 Game Programmers

Production time:

  • 12 weeks half-time = Around 240 hours.

  • 4 weeks pre-prod, 8 weeks development

Engine:

  • "Unreal Engine 5.3" as a level editor

  • Game Engine made by the team

Main contributions:

  • Project Coordinator and disciplinary lead

  • Created early rough prototype in Unreal for playtesting 

  • Major role in game design and player development

  • Level Design ownership of Level 3 (the temple) and 4 (the boss arena)

  • Part of Level Propping / Level Art of all levels, including vertex painting the ground for Level 3 and 4

  • Member in taskforces for player, game design, metrics, boss, lighting & pipeline
